Keynote Speaker: Kenneth P. Fivizzani
Kenneth Fivizzani is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the Industrial Research Institute's (IRI) Environmental Health and Safety Directors' Network, and Sigma Xi. He was the 2007 Chair of the ACS Chicago Section, and he is the 2010 Chair of the Chicago Section. He was the 2000 Chair for the ACS Division of Chemical Health and Safety and is the 2010 Chair-Elect. He is a past Chair (2002-2004) and a current member of the ACS Committee on Chemical Safety (CCS). For 1999-2001, he served as Chair of th e IRI Environmental Health and Safety Directors’ Network.
Nancy M. Quick, CSP, CIH Compliance Assistance Specialist US DOL – OSHA
Ms. Quick has over 30 years experience in the field of occupational safety and health. She is a Certified Safety Professional and Certified Industrial Hygienist. Nancy also serves as chair of the Great Lakes Center for Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health Advisory Board (University of Illinois) and as a member of the Kane County Local Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC).
Currently, Nancy serves as the Compliance Assistance Specialist for the North Aurora Area Office. She provides technical assistance on compliance with OSHA safety and health standards to large and small businesses located in the 17 counties of Northwest Illinois. Ms. Quick is responsible for developing partnerships with employers, trade groups, schools, and labor organizations, to secure greater awareness of and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Ms. Quick has conducted numerous training sessions on safety and health topics, as well as OSHA standards and regulations. Nancy has instructed at OSHA’s National Training Institute on ergonomics and safety and health issues in healthcare and has authored several articles on workplace safety and health.
